Woman arraigned in Lagos court for jilting lover
According to Vabguard, Omolola, who was charged alongside one Raphael Oge, 51, on a three-count charge bothering on stealing and threat to life of her ex-lover, pleaded not guilty in court and was remanded in prison custody till she meets her bail conditions. Continue...
The case has been adjourned to September 8th."I never knew it was a crime to date someone older. I have been in this relationship since August 2012 and it has been hell. Any time I tell him I do not want to continue with the relationship, he would threaten me. It was my attempt to terminate the love affair with Unachukwu that led to my being charged to court for stealing a car he bought for me as Valentine's gift and property acquired during the relationship. On Valentine's day last year, he bought me a Honda Accord End of Discussion saloon car as a gift. I was in his house at 8, Ojora Road, Ikoyi, Lagos when he presented the car to me. However, since then he had abused me severally. Actually, the 2nd defendant (Oge) who brought the car to the house is now being accused of conspiring with me to steal it because he refused to write another receipt in Unachukwu's name, since a receipt was issued initially in my name before the break-up of the relationship. I was arrested by policemen from Zone II on June 20, 2014 and I had to spend three nights before they took me to Igbosere magistrate's court. I was later taken to Kirikiri Prison on August 11, 2014. The first day I arrived Kirikiri Prison, waiting for my bail bond to be perfected, a prison warder scraped my hair, took me to somewhere to pack faeces, and later gave me prison uniform in which they took my photograph. Prince Hilary said until he saw me go to jail, he would keep bringing different charges against me. He said he would make sure that he spends everything he has to see me go to jail. He said there was no police in this country that could arrest him because they are all his boys. Now, I do not know what to do. There was one time he threatened me and my younger sister with a gun. He has been calling and sending threatening messages that except he is not Hilary Unachukwu, that is when I will survive. But if that is his name, I will never survive. My life and my child's life are at stake." she said

The Whiteman's school was called St. Aquinas primary school and it was situated in town. It was Garba's first time in the town. He was surprised to see houses that were different from the mud and thatched huts in his village. The houses were built with blocks and were well - aligned. The school was built with both blocks and planks. It was on a hill. The Whiteman handed them over to another Whiteman whom he introduced as Mr. Jacobs. A black native was interpreting whatever the white men wanted them to hear. "Mr. Jacobs is your head teacher. He is also the boarding house master. You must see him as your parent here. He will discipline you if you misbehave here. So you all must be of good behaviour,' the Whiteman said as he handed them over to Mr. Jacobs. "Follow me," Mr. Jacobs said. They followed him into a house. The house was very neat and there were many bunk beds with thin mattresses. The black interpreter was with them. Mr. Jacobs turned to them. Garba thought he preferred the Whiteman who had brought them from Dogongari because he was friendlier and nicer. "What is your name? I want your full names," he said. "Adamu Shalt," the first boy replied. "Kaita Maigoro," the second boy said. When it got to Garba's turn, he lost his tongue. "What is your name," Mr. Jacobs barked. "Garba Dandogo," Garba stammered. When the introduction was finished, Mr. Jacob began to address them. "This is where you will he staying. It's your hostel, it was provided by the church for those of you from the hinterlands. You will do well to maintain it and keep it clean," Mr. Jacobs said. He assigned them each to their beds. Garba was on the lower bunk. He had never slept on such a bed before. At home he only slept on a mat spread on the floor of his mother's hut. He sat gingerly on the bed and as soon as he did, he heard a creaking sound of spring expanding under his weight. Quickly, he jumped up in horror. The interpreter laughed. Mr. Jacobs considered him grimly for a moment. "What's the problem, boy?" "I heard a sound in the bed," Garba explained after the native had interpreted to him. Mr. Jacobs frowned. Rivers State releases N300million to fight Ebola in the state
Amaechi disclosed this while speaking with the Country Director of the World Health Organization, WHO, Mr. Rui Vaz, at the government house in Port Harcourt.
"Whatever it takes for us to overcome Ebola, please, I will do it because it costs more if Ebola is on the loose than if it is contained. So, we are happy that the World Health Organization is here to assist Rivers State. We are happy that the World Health Organization appreciates the dangers of Ebola to our communities.
We need to contain Ebola. If there is no cure, then there is containment so that more persons don't contract it. The Rivers State Government is prepared to take all the responsibility. The citizens are ours," Amaechi said.

Sotloff disappeared while reporting in Syria a year ago."I'm back Obama, and I'm back because of your arrogant foreign policy towards the Islamic State, because of your insistence on continuing your bombings on Mosul Dam, despite our serious warning.
