Seven in 10 Americans believe ISIS has the resources to launch an attack against the United States, just days before President Barack Obama plans to address the nation on the subject.

The poll released Monday shows that Americans favor:

'Sons of Guns' Will Hayden Charged With Another Rape ... From 22 Years Ago

breaking news

Will Hayden Rape

Will Hayden's skeletons are running out of the closet ... because another person is coming forward claiming she was forcibly raped 22 years ago at 12-years-old.

The victim -- who is now 34-years-old -- claims she was living with Will at the time because a fire destroyed her home.

According to the law enforcement release ... she claims her and Will smoked marijuana together one night -- and then he allegedly placed his hand over her mouth, laid his entire body on top of her, and raped her.

The woman claims Will told her not to tell anyone ... and she didn't come forward earlier because she didn't know if her family would believe her.

Officials in Baton Rouge have now charged Will with another count of forcible rape ... as he still sits behind bars.

Truthfully, I Didn’t Know My Husband Was A Footballer When I Met Him- Adaeze Yobo

Truthfully, I Didn't Know My Husband Was A Footballer When I Met Him- Adaeze Yobo
Former Most Beautiful Girl in Nigeria (2008), Adaeze Yobo in an interview with The Sun has revealed that the first time she met Joseph Yobo, she never knew he was a footballer and neither did he know she was a reigning queen. She told The Sun how they met and why they had to marry so fast even though the last thing on her mind was marriage.

How did you meet your husband?

I met him in Nigeria through a friend at an event. From there, we became close friends. I became pregnant and we got married immediately. Everything happened in a very short time. A lot of people thought it wasn't going to work but at that moment, I knew I felt something I had never felt with anyone in my life and I said to myself, why not take that chance? I'm quite prayerful , so I knew there's no way I could err, though I never planned getting married so early. I had so many dreams of what I wanted in life. Marriage was the last thing on my mind. It happened so fast and I thought I should give it a shot.

So, what attracted you to him?

When we first met, I didn't know who he is really. He didn't know that I was the most beautiful girl in Nigeria. When I knew he was a footballer, I said to myself this relationship might not work or lead us anywhere, because of the lifestyle of some footballers who have so many girlfriends.

Do you regret marrying him?

Not at all. No marriage can ever be perfect. Even my relationship with my mum can never be perfect. I have never regretted any moment with my husband and I always say to my sisters and cousins that I don't know what I could have been without my husband. I wondered the kind of man I would have ended up with if I didn't marry him. I thank God that He planned my life and I'm living the life He planned for me. God has been gracious to me in every way.

STOP KILLING BOKO HARAM MEMBERS – BUHARI TELLS FG

STOP KILLING BOKO HARAM MEMBERS – BUHARI TELLS FG
STOP KILLING BOKO HARAM MEMBERS – BUHARI TELLS FG
Former Head of Military Ruler and Chieftain of the Congress for Progressive Change, CPC, Major General Muhammadu Buhari has asked the Federal Government to stop the clampdown of Boko Haram insurgents, saying Niger Delta Militants were never killed or properties belonging to them destroyed.

Buhari who spoke on Sunday on a Liberty Radio programme, Guest of the Week monitored said accused the government of killing and destroying houses belonging to Boko Haram members while the Niger Delta militants get special treatment.

The former dictator said that unlike the special treatment given to the Niger Delta militants by the federal government, the Boko Haram members were being killed and their houses demolished by government.

While accusing President Jonathan of failing from the beginning to address the security situation in the country, Buhari said he has never been in support of the state of emergency in Borno, Yobe and Adamawa state.

According to Buhari "what is responsible for the security situation in the country is caused by the activities of Niger Delta militants. Every Nigerian that is familiar with what is happening knows this. The Niger Delta militants started it all.

"What happened is that the governors of the Niger Delta region at that time wanted to win their elections. So they recruited the youths and gave them guns and bullets and used them against their opponents to win elections by force.

"After the elections were over, they asked the boys to return the guns; the boys refused to return the guns. Because of that, the allowance that was being given to the youths by the governors during that time was stopped.

"The youths resorted to kidnapping oil workers and were collecting dollars as ransom. Now a boy of 18 to 20 years was getting about 500 dollars in a week, why will he go to school and spend 20 years to study and then come back and get employed by government to be paid N100,000 a month, that is if he is lucky to get employment.

"So kidnapping becomes very rampant in the South -South and the South -East. They kidnapped people and were collecting money.

"How did Boko Haram start? We know that their leader, Mohammed Yusuf started his militant and the police couldn't control them and the army was invited. He was arrested by soldiers and handed over to the police.

"The appropriate thing to do, according to the law, was for the police to carry out investigations and charge him to court for prosecution, but they killed him, his in-law was killed, they went and demolished their houses.

"Because of that, his supporters resorted to what they are doing today.

You see in the case of the Niger Delta militants, the late President Umaru Musa Yar'adua sent an aeroplane to bring them, he sat down with them and discussed with them, they were cajoled, and they were given money and granted amnesty.

"They were trained in some skills and were given employment, but the ones in the north were being killed and their houses were being demolished.

They are different issues, what brought this? It is injustice".

While fielding questions in English in the same programme, Buhari said that the promoters of the All Progressive Congress (APC) were aware of the challenges ahead of them in an effort to get the party registered, saying "the road to merger is quite rough.

"The ruling party, with its enormous resources and its capacity for coercion has seen it as a threat and they have said it. Personally, I came to realise since 2007 that Nigerians believe that the only way to stabilise the system of multi-party democracy is for the opposition parties that have representatives right from Councillors to the National Assembly come together to deliver their constituencies democratically.

This is the only way you can counter PDP's enormous physical and material influence in the country"

He expressed optimism that the All Progressive Congress will be registered saying "by nature, I am an optimist. If I were not an optimist, I will not attempt to contest the presidency three times and end up in the Supreme Court three times. I believe we are going to be registered.

"There is a law guiding party registration which states that you must have your headquarters in the nation's capital that can be identified by INEC and you must have a convention. All the three parties involved have held their conventions and have agreed to forsake our existing parties and go for APC.

Fifa has no business with NFF crises, says Odegbami
Fifa has no business with NFF crises, says Odegbami

The former Super Eagles winger has advised the world football governing body to stay off and allow the Nigeria Football Federation resolve their internal issues

Nigeria legend Segun Odegbami has slammed Fifa for interference in the ongoing crises engulfing the Nigeria Football Federation.

According to him, the problem of NigeriaN football is not the lack of talent but lack of a well placed structure to help make the administrative setup work effectively.

"Our football has been developing slowly and steadily but our administration has not been developing at the same pace," Odegbami told Goal.

"Yes, we have been winning and qualifying for a few competitions and so on but some of us think we should have done better than we are doing now. We ought to have been on a much higher level.

"At this point, we must look again at the structure in place to elect those who are going to take us to another level because what we have now is structurally deficient and it is fraught with all kinds of possibilities to manipulate, be unfair, bias, to put some people into certain positions and so on," he continued.

"In all of these, there is a need for us now to make correction and the present crises present us with perfect opportunities to sit back and look at everything microscopically."

The former Green Eagles winger is disappointed with the manner at which the world football governing body has been managing the crises saying it is none of their business.

"All I think we need to do is to ask Fifa to give us breathing space, sit back and look back at those areas that are problematic and come up with something that will fulfill the aspirations of Nigerians, to have  a football team to be one of the very best in the world.

"Our problem is none of Fifa's business because it is our internal problem. It is us that took our problems to them and they will just come and give a solution whether it is right or wrong. This time around, we must tell them to stay back for us to look at our issues ourselves and resolve them," he concluded.

Nigeria seem to have escaped a ban from Fifa after factional NFF leader Chris Giwa failed to turn up at the Glass House on Monday as part of requirements from the Swiss-based organization

Benson Okonkwo confesses – I couldn’t control my feelings on movie set

Benson Okonkwo confesses – I couldn't control my feelings on movie se

Actors usually claim that what happens is always make believe.

But we have seen time and time again that a chemistry sometimes happens from set especially after acting together in romance scenes which often leads to a relationship afterwards. A prime example is the case of Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie.

Nollywood actor Benson Okonkwo in a recent interview said he gets aroused on set while playing some of his controversial roles with female actresses and gave an example of one such moment:

"Having an erection while acting a romance scene on set was my most embarrassing experience. When the go-ahead signal was given, I and the actress got into the character of two lovers and we were in a parlor and started kissing and smooching. In fact my trousers were half way down but I was still wearing my shirt while she had removed her top, but believe me, she was so busty that what I saw turned me on, and I presume, that made me have an erection.

She felt my thing when it came up but we had to be professional and ignored it. I guess the girl's big breast did that to me.  I knew it was mere acting but I am human and I still have blood flowing in my veins. She noticed my erection and she just kept laughing. I guess she was surprised; the cast and crew members also laughed and made fun of me and I was a bit embarrassed. To me, that is the most embarrassing moment of my acting career."

Considering his revelation, should spouses allow their partners to play such roles in movies knowing emotions can sometimes not be contained? What do you think?

Benson Okonkwo

Five days later, I found out that Bawa was right. Mr Jacobs came along and plucked the fruits. I was shocked. So after he had gone, we went to pluck. They were sweet and very ripe," Tanko said. Islamic State Launch Gunboat Attack On River-Side Town -- Reuters

(Reuters) - Islamic State fighters attacked a riverside town north of Baghdad on Monday with gunboats and a car bomb, killing 17 people and wounding 54, a security source said.

The source said the attack on Dhuluiya, around 70 km (45 miles) from the capital, was carried out before dawn and continued for two hours before the militants were pushed back.

Among the dead in the attack, the largest of its kind in the area, were civilians and Iraqi forces. Most of the casualties were caused by the car bomb, which struck a market, the source said.

Dhuluiya is part of a belt of Sunni Muslim towns north of Baghdad where the hardline Sunni Muslim Islamic State has managed to wrestle some control, often aligning with local militia who distrust the Shi'ite-led government.

Arab League Foreign Ministers Agree To 'Confront' IS -- Deutsche Welle

Arab states have agreed to take urgent measures to combat 'Islamic State' militants. The Arab League foreign ministers, however, fell short of explicitly backing the US military action against the group.

The Arab League said in a resolution on Monday that it would take "necessary measures" to combat "Islamic State" (IS) on the political, defense, security and legal levels.

The League's Cairo conference also backed the United Nations' decision to impose sanctions on a number of the group's fighters and called on the international community to help defeat the Sunni militant organization.

Nabil Elaraby, the head of the Arab League, said at the opening session of the meeting on Monday that the rise of IS in Iraq threatened not only the authority of the state, but "its very existence and the existence of other states."

#GoodNews: Human Trials Of Ebola Vaccine Begin In US, To Extend To Africa

By  | September 8, 2014

Following successful tests of Ebola vaccine on monkeys, human trials have begun in the United States and will be extended to the United Kingdom and to Africa, according to a BBC report.

The experiments by the US National Institutes of Health showed immunity could last at least 10 months. Vaccinated monkeys have developed "long-term" immunity to the Ebola virus, raising a prospect of successful human trials, scientists say.

According to the World Health Organisation, more than 2,000 people have now died in the outbreak in West Africa.

There are several experimental treatments are to help contain the spread of Ebola including a vaccine being developed by the US National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases and pharmaceutical company GlaxoSmithKline, reports say.

It uses a genetically modified chimp virus containing components of two species of Ebola – Zaire, which is currently circulating in West Africa, and the common Sudan species.

The viral vaccine does not replicate inside the body, but it is hoped the immune system will react to the Ebola component of the vaccine and develop immunity.

This outbreak of Ebola has claimed seven lives with 21 infections in Nigeria since the index patient, a Liberian, Patrick Sawyer brought the deadly disease to Nigeria in July 2014. Nigeria has recorded the best containment of the spread of the disease.
