On behalf of himself, his family and the Federal Government of Nigeria, President Jonathan extends heartfelt commiserations to the publishers of the Sun newspapers, the Nigerian Guild of Editors, and all friends and associates of Mr. Igwe, for whom his unexpected death must be exceedingly painful. EBOLA: Ondo State Health Commissioner Bans Sale of Bush Meat...
The Commissioner for Health Ondo State, Dayo Adeyanju, has made it known that henceforth, the business of harvesting and selling bush meat has been banned in the State. This is owing to the dreaded Ebola Virus Disease, which can be contracted from Bush Meat.
Dr Adeyanju, said this during an interview on Channels Television, this morning, Saturday September 6th. In his own words;
"one needs to be and put all the machinery in action, to outbreak", in their surroundings.
Hence, the Ondo state government has embarked on a light sensitization programme to avoid panic. An increased sensitization effort, has been put in place after Patrick Sawyer was confirmed Ebola positive.
The first set of people sensitized were health workers, followed by traditional rulers, leaders and residents living at the cocoa plantations"

Joan Rivers , Panicked About Heart Condition
Joan Rivers suffered from heart arrhythmia and worried that her heart might stop beating on stage or during surgery.
Joan spoke about the condition -- which causes sudden irregularities in the heart beat -- during an interview with Joan Lunden on Good Morning America back in 1985.
Joan said, "It scares the hell out of you. And when you go under, say for plastic surgeries and things like that ... that's when your heart can go out of kilter."
It's still unknown if Rivers was under general anesthesia when she went into cardiac and respiratory arrest during a vocal cord procedure 9 days ago.

I Spent 9 Years in the University- Comedian AY
The popular Nigerian Comedian told the folks at Punch Newspapers about his rugged journey through the university... in his own words;
"I don't like talking about this. But, yes, I spent nine years in the university but not as a failure as some people may assume. But I had to set my priorities right. It was tough I had to joggle so many jobs to make ends meet. I also had to cater to my siblings and I was a victim of different circumstances on campus."
He continued speaking on his future political ambitions;
"You do not put your hand in the mouth of a lion because you see your colleagues doing the same. Those who have indicated interest in vying for political positions must have weighed the pros and cons before deciding to do so. I have also weighed the pros and cons and my ministry has not moved to that site yet..."

Wicked Love! Jealous Boyfriend Bites Off Girlfriend’s Lips (Photos)
Couples fight a lot, sometimes one little argument goes out of hand, and may even lead to breakup for awhile or forever but for a boyfriend to bite off his girlfriend's lips, disfiguring her face – That is just sad;
Rhys Culley, 23, has been in a relationship with pretty Chanttelle Ward for over two years, bit his girlfriend's upper lip after the attack, during which he smeared her own blood around her face and forced his tongue in her mouth.
Culley, however denied wounding with intent but was found guilty after a trial, as pictures seen by jurors at the New Castle Crown Courts showed angry teeth mark and will be sentenced next month and has now been remanded in custody.
Jurors heard Culley, of South Shields, near Newcastle, bit down on the victim's lip with the same force that would be needed to bite through a 1cm thick piece of rubber.
Miss Ward told jurors during the trial Culley had tried to kiss her and asked her if she still loved him before the bite.
"He put his whole mouth around my lips and pulled, I thought that my whole lip had come off.
"There was blood everywhere."
Culley and his girlfriend got back to her house, after attending her mother's birthday, when he brought up a conversation that his girlfriend had had with another man on Facebook earlier in the month.
Culley took Miss Ward's phone off her in a bid to look through her Facebook messages, when he found that the messages were no longer there, he became angry and started to shout at his girlfriend accusing her of having something to hide.
She became scared and lifted her phone to call Culley's mother to ask him to come and get him, he took the phone from her, locked the doors so that she couldn't escape.
She suffered not only the injuries to her mouth, but bruising to her arms and body, a scratch to her left b****t, bruising of the face and ear.
Love can be sweet and can also be scary, but can you define Culley's action as LOVE?

6 things you do that annoy a policeman on ‘stop and search’
"Police is your friend," an officer would proudly say.
"Go tell that to the marines," is the likely reply he would get anywhere outside a police station.
We are now outside a station, specifically at Maryland junction, where the men-in-black/blue/camouflage/orange are going about their 'duties'.
Some are controlling traffic but our 'specimen' for experiment are those flagging down vehicles and asking for their particulars and other 'things' of interest.
We spot a rather cheerful one in their midst and conclude he would be our ideal Man Friday – the one to tell us the reason for the seeming animosity between the police and the policed. We are right.
Note: We narrowed our 'research topic' to altercation during 'stop and search' for ease of…writing!
So, here are the six things you do that annoy a police officer on 'stop and search'.
NO 'HELLO' OR 'HI'
If we stop you for routine check while driving or walking, we don't like you calling a so-called superior officer of ours on the phone. The worst part is handing us the phone to continue a conversation we didn't initiate. Imagine this awkward chat:
So-called Superior Officer: Yes, who are you please?
Me: Who are you too, please SIR?
SSO: It seems you want to lose your job. Do you know who you are talking with?
Me: I don't know; that's why I'm asking SIR?
SSO: The person you are harassing…
Me: (cuts in) Harassing? I'm just doing my job…
SSO: (cuts in) Which job? The job you are about losing? My friend, will you release him immediately before I call Alausa?
Me: Ok sir. Ok sir.
I hand over the phone as well as your incomplete papers. You smile but I know it deserves a punch in return. Who am I to do that in broad daylight? I mark your face and car, though.
USE, MISUSE, AND ABUSE OF 'ESPRIT DE CORPS'
You, a bloody civilian, just blurt out those words 'Esprit de Corp' once we flag you down. You are not a police officer. Neither are you in the navy, army, or air force. You are not even in the civil defence or boys scout. Perhaps I could forgive you if you are a staff of LASTMA!
"Esprit de Corps, Esprit de Corps," you look so learned and educated yet you don't know the meaning of the words.
Let me educate you.
When we say those words, we are referring to the common spirit existing among members of a group that inspires enthusiasm, devotion, and strong regard for the honour of the group. It's like feelings of loyalty, enthusiasm, and devotion to a group among people who are members of the group.
You and I are not in the same category, sorry, group.
GALLANT MOPOL AND OTHER FUNNY BANNERS AND STICKERS
Related to the point above are the funny banners and stickers you hang on your front mirror and windscreen.
Gallant Mopol! Navy! Army! They announce.
Sometimes, we are magnanimous enough and listen to your explanation that the vehicle actually belongs to your father's uncle's son in the army, but most times, you allow your 'Gallant Mopol' to intoxicate you with Dutch courage and challenge our 'audacity to stop' you.
That's when we remind you that you are a bloody civilian after all!
'DON'T YOU KNOW I AM A LAWYER' AND OTHERS WHO KNOW THEIR RIGHTS
"Don't you know I'm a lawyer? I know my rights and if you infringe on my rights, I'll sue you. Sue the IG; sue the federal government."
We have no problem with you being a lawyer or knowing your rights as a citizen of the Federal Republic of Nigeria.
In fact, we love relating to learned gentlemen and women who have a copy of the 1999 Constitution resting above their dashboard. It shows you read and we know readers are leaders.
What we don't like is you acting ungentlemanly; screaming like a drug peddler in a commercial bus just to pass your message across. We love your energy but we believe it can be put to better use – like in the courtroom.
TOUCH NOT MY ANOINTED
…and do yourself no harm!
Sorry, for corrupting Ist Chronicles 16:22, but it best explains how I may react if you go beyond using your speech organs in our interaction.
It's so disrespectful touching an officer on the chin, shoulder, waist, wherever, just because you want to buttress your point.
I could choose to ignore your insults, stare, and any other 'tactic' you adopt as survival mechanism while with us.
I won't ignore your touch.
IT IS MY OFFICE FOR PETE'S SAKE
However you view it, I'm in my office when on the road and you must respect my office, notwithstanding that it's on the road.
When you go to a bank, do you fill deposit slip when withdrawing cash?
When you go to a hospital, do you prescribe drugs and injection that the doctor and nurse will administer on you?
Why then do you treat my office with contempt? Why can't you obey simple instructions?
What's difficult in comprehending: ''Can I see your vehicle particulars?''
You know your vehicle insurance has expired, so why wait until you are asked?
We are here to serve you and believe me: ''Police is your friend.''
Let's have your views for or against the police, the opinion of our Man Friday on this topic. But we won't be satisfied with: "Go tell that to the marines."

Should I tell her?
My very close friend has been married for 4 years and I just found out that her husband has a mistress. My friend is 7 months pregnant and is in a very happy phase in her life. It hurts me not to tell her but at the same time I don't want to be the one to burst her bubble especially with her condition. Though this won't be the first time he's cheating on her. He once got a girl pregnant when they were dating just cos my friend was a virgin back then and refused to sleep with him.
Though he made the girl abort the baby and moved mountains to make my friend forgive and come back to him. They dated for 7 years, he disvirgined her and she has invested so much time, sweat, energy in the relationship that now that it has finally materialised into marriage I just don't want to be the one to uproot her world.
So do I tell her or wait till she delivers or just let her find out herself? Please, I need your honest opinions.

Will The Ukraine Ceasefire Hold?
(Reuters) - A ceasefire between Ukrainian forces and pro-Russian separatists in eastern Ukraine appeared to be holding on Friday evening, despite some initial shelling in the rebel stronghold of Donetsk.
However, many residents and combatants were skeptical that the ceasefire could last long or turn into a basis for a durable peace settlement after six months of conflict. The two sides remain far apart on the future of the region.
The ceasefire was approved by envoys from Ukraine, the separatist leadership, Russia and Europe's OSCE security watchdog meeting in Minsk as part of a peace road map that also includes an exchange of prisoners and the creation of a humanitarian corridor for refugees and aid.

Chapter Four
Tanko did not share the milk in two halves, instead he ignored Bawa and made sure the four of them had a portion. This annoyed Bawa but pleased Garba who was grateful to have tasted the master's milk. It was sweet and very tasty. The following day, the boys learnt how to count. A black teacher who spoke English and called himself Mr. Felix taught. He explained it in Hausa as he taught in English. Garba liked it and he understood what Mr. Felix taught. He was very happy. "Tomorrow, you will learn how to write all what I've been teaching you. You will write one to ten," he said as he closed for the day. "I like Mr. Felix," Garba said later when he met Sule and Tanko. Bawa was avoiding them because of what happened the previous day. "Yes," said Sule. "He's a kind man. He's not like Mr. Jacobs or all these other teachers who speak through their nostrils." "Where is Bawa?" Garba asked Tanko. "The greedy boy says he's not interested in being friends with us again," Tanko said. "I guess it's because of what happened yesterday," Garba said. Beyonce & Jay Z -- Celebrate Bey Day ... Island Style
Beyonce and Jay Z's marriage is SO on the rocks that they're celebrating her 33rd birthday ... together ... with Blue Ivy on an island in the Mediterranean.
Jay and Bey were all over each other -- pretending to enjoy themselves on the beach. Jay played a little paddle ball while Blue played in the sand ... until it was time to head back to their yacht, off the coast of Corsica.
Yeah, we're calling it ... time to kill the break up talk. We should all be this unhappy.

Ukraine Ceasefire Still Holding
Ukraine's military said pro-Russian separatists seem to be honoring the truce accord reached yesterday to stem months of bloodshed, while urging Russia to pull its troops back from the border to avoid provocations.
No casualties have been reported in the past 24 hours,
military spokesman Andriy Lysenko said in televised remarks in the capital Kiev, the first time that's happened since the insurgents unleashed a counteroffensive last month. Some rebel shelling occurred after the 6 p.m. start of the cease-fire, but so far the truce is holding, he said.
