Joan Rivers -- Health Dept. Launches 'Review' of Clinic

EXCLUSIVE

Joan Rivers HealthThe clinic where Joan Rivers suffered respiratory and cardiac arrest is now in the cross hairs of NY health officials -- TMZ has learned they're "reviewing" the case.

Sources tell us the state's Dept. of Health has contacted the clinic -- Yorkville Endoscopy -- twice since last Thursday ... when Rivers was getting an outpatient procedure to repair her vocal cords.

State health officials tell TMZ they are "reviewing the matter" ... but have NOT launched an official investigation. We're told the review could take weeks or even months. At this point, officials are only looking at the clinic as a whole -- not specifically the doctor who performed the procedure.

As we reported ... Rivers has been moved out of ICU and into a private room at Mount Sinai hospital. It's unclear whether she's still on life support.

Kate Upton -- FBI Probes to See If Hacker Hooked Her and 3 Others by Phishing

EXCLUSIVE

0903-kate-mary-jen-lea-fishing-getty-9
The leaked photos of Kate Upton and her boyfriend didn't get out because of an iCloud security breach ... but instead she may have been the victim of one of the oldest tricks in the online scamming game.

Law enforcement sources tell TMZ ... FBI investigators are looking into whether Kate and at least 3 other celebs -- Mary Elizabeth Winstead, Jennifer Lawrence, and Lea Michele -- were prime targets of phishing.

If you don't know, here's how it works ... you get an email informing you there's some sort of problem with your account, and in order to fix it you'll need to send personal info -- such as a username, phone number, credit card, or even a password. So, you unwittingly give the crooks all they need to jack your data.

We're told in this case ... the email sent to the celebs might have been doctored up to look like it was coming from Apple. Phishing's been going on since the early days of the Internet, but scammers are so sophisticated now ... their emails look identical to the real deal.

J-Law and Kate's pics -- some with her BF pitcher Justin Verlander -- were among the first ones released Sunday by the hacker.

Reps for all 4 women haven't responded to our calls.

Did Ihejirika Order The Murder of NSA Andrew Azazi For His Revelations on Boko Haram?

Did Ihejirika Order The Murder of NSA Andrew Azazi For His Revelations on Boko Haram?

Nigeria witnessed a Babangida/Abacha era type helicopter assassination of the former National Security Adviser, General Andrew Owoye Azazi in December of 2012, shortly after the NSA had dared to reveal and implicate the ruling PDP party in the sponsorship of Boko Haram.

The late General Azazi had said at the South-south conference:

The extent of violence did not increase in Nigeria until there was a declaration by the current president that he was going to contest. PDP got it wrong from the beginning, from the on-set by saying Mr A can rule, Mr A cannot rule, Mr B can rule, Mr B cannot rule, according to PDP's convention, rules and regulation and not according to the constitution {applause}and that created the climate for what has manifest itself, this way. I believe that there is some element of politicization. is it possible that somebody was
thinking that only Mr. A could win, and if he did not win, there will be problems in this society.

Let's examine all these issues to see whether the level of violence in the North East just escalated because Boko Haram suddenly became better trained, better equipped and better funded, and in any case how did they get it all done…{warning of Boko Haram becoming snipers – who could potentially target elite}

But, then I must also be quick to point out that today, even if all the leaders that we know in Boko Haram are arrested, I don't think the problem would end, because there are tentacles. I don't think that people would be satisfied, because the situations that created the problems are not just about the religion, poverty or the desire to rule Nigeria. I think it's a combination of everything. Except you address all those things comprehensively, it would not work"

AZAZI-PDP

General Andrew Azazi was subsequently fired later that year and killed in a suspicious helicopter explosion before the year ended.

With new revelations by President Jonathan's Boko Haram negotiator, on the role of former Army chief retired General Azubuike Ihejirika as a sponsor of Boko Haram; the assassination of the late NSA demands revisiting as also the assassination of civil war veteran, Muhammadu Shuwa in Borno.

Did the former army General order the murder of NSA Andrew Azazi to stop him from further incriminating the true sponsors of the terror organization?

Nigerians must demand a full scale inquiry into all the atrocities and acts of terror supervised and sponsored by the former head of the nation's army and the death of Andrew Azazi.

296 People Under Surveillance for Ebola in Nigeria - Minister of Health

296 People Under Surveillance for Ebola in Nigeria - Minister of Health

   The Federal Government yesterday Wednesday September 3rd, made it known that the resumption of primary and secondary schools across which was ealier delayed till October 13th, because of the Ebola Virus, has now been reversed to mid September.

     Speaking with News Men after the Federal Executive Council meeting presided by President Goodluck Jonathan, the honourable Minister of Health, Prof. Onyebuchi Chukwu, revealed that schools resumption date might be moved back to September. He stressed that experts' opinion had indicated that "students could safely resume from mid-September."

     The minister further revealed that the specific resumption date will be announced after a meeting between the Minister of Education, states' Commissioners of Education and other stakeholders involved in the earlier postponement of the resumption date to October 13th. Concerning this, he said;

"The Minister of Education was directed by council to convene an emergency meeting with all states commissioners of Education in order to agree on when schools can resume nationwide."

   The Minister also gave a report on the Ebola Virus Disease outbreak in Nigeria, reporting. That there were currently 296 contacts under surveillance in the country, but denying.that 60 Ebola contacts were missing in Port Harcourt. He continued by saying the 296 contacts were actually under surveillance in the entire country, 255 of them were in Port Harcourt, Rivers State, and the remaining 41 in Lagos State. He also added that explained that the rumoured outbreak of the disease in Abuja and Calabar are false, and that Enugu was completely free from the disease. This was because the nurse who initially escaped surveillance in Lagos to meet her husband in Enugu had also tested negative to the disease.

     He said the member of ECOWAS staff, Olu-Ibukun Koye, who jumped surveillance and took the virus to Port Harcourt, had developed strong anti-bodies against the virus and as such could not infect others with it.
He said it could not yet be determined if Koye would be prosecuted or not.

  In addition contrary to what several news agencies are reporting, the widow of Dr Enemuo is not dead, but rather she is still at the Ebola Isolation ward in Lagos.
