Most Beautiful African WAGs 2014... Adaeze Yobo, Drogba's Wife Makes The List

The list of the most beautiful African Wives and Girlfriends of Sportsmen (WAGs) of 2014 is out. And Adaeze Yobo, former Nigerian beauty queen and wife of Joseph Yobo made the list. This is not the first time Adaeze will be making the list of top beautiful footballers' wives. Check out the list and the photos of the women coupled up with their spouses after the cut.

1) Menaye Donkor

The top of the list is Canadian-born Ghanaian model, entrepreneur and philanthropist won the Miss Universe Ghana in 2004. My Presidential Victory Has Been Prophesied + It Has Been Zoned To Igbo Land - Okorocha

Imo State Governor Rochas Okorocha, yesterday in Enugu declared his intention of contesting for next year's presidential election, saying his victory had been prophesied.

While addressing the large crowd that turned up for his presidential declaration, Okorocha said;

"Three months ago when I said I want to be president they asked, "Can an Igboman be president?"

"But now when they count those contesting for president they will first count Rochas Okorocha, before Buhari, Atiku Abubakar and Kwankwaso.

"When they said they have zoned the presidency to the North, I asked, "When was the meeting held?"

"Now we have zoned it to Igboland. In 2015, there will be a turnaround in the fortunes of Ndigbo."

He also accused president jonathan and prominent Igbo PDP politicians of not caring about the well being of Igbo.

Nigeria Blasts US Over Boko Haram

Disappointed by the refusal of the United States to help Nigeria procure military weapons to combat Boko Haram, the federal government has now openly expressed its dissatisfaction with the American government decision, arguing that the Americans were letting Nigeria down at her hour of need, Empowered Newswire reports.

While receiving a delegation of the U.S. Council on Foreign Relations yesterday, the Nigerian Ambassador to the United States, Professor Ade Adefuye said both the Nigerian people and the government feel abandoned by America.

"I am sad to inform you that the Nigerian leadership: military and political, and even the general populace, are not satisfied with the scope, nature and content of the United States' support for us in our struggle against terrorists."

"We find it difficult to understand how and why in spite of the U.S. presence in Nigeria with their sophisticated military technology, Boko Haram should be expanding and becoming more deadly".

"The U.S. Government has up till today refused to grant Nigeria's request to purchase lethal equipment that would have brought down the terrorists within a short time on the basis of the allegations that Nigeria's defence forces have been violating human rights of Boko Haram suspects when captured or arrested."

Indeed the US government had equally explained that it would not be selling military weapons to Nigeria due to human rights allegations against the Nigerian military.

But Mr. Adefuye, in his meeting with the Council on Foreign Relations, dismissed such allegations.

Keyamo Blasts Governor Uduaghan, You're A Disgrace To Governance

Lagos lawyer, Festus Keyamo, has said the Delta state governor, Emmanuel Uduaghan, is a disgrace to governance for playing "Ping-Pong" with the affairs of the state with ex-militant, Government Ekpemupolo, alias Tompolo.

Mr. Keyamo, in an open letter to the governor, alleged that Mr. Uduaghan interfered in the duties of the state electoral commission during the last local government chairmanship election by replacing the Warri South-West candidate with Mr. Tomopolo's younger brother on the eve of the election.

The lawyer said the governor summoned one Weyinmi Omadeli to his private residence in Warri on Thursday, October 23, 2014- barely 48 hours to the election- and informed him that he had given orders to the Delta State Independent Electoral Commission, DSIEC, to replace his name with that of George Ekpemupolo, the younger brother of Government Ekpemupolo, alias Tompolo.‎

"For you to summon Mr. Omadeli on the eve of an election and inform him that his name had been replaced smacks of high-level interference with the job of DSIEC. It clearly shows that DSIEC is only an appendage of the Delta State Government".

The lawyer listed five reasons why the action by the governor was wrong and said that the governor's decision "is capable of igniting a crisis that will affect all of us".

"The decision was taken whimsically and it is unjust, unfair, illegal and ungodly. Consequently, it is unacceptable and will be challenged legally and politically," Mr. Keyamo said in the letter.

"It also depicts the sorry and comatose state of DSIEC in the hands of the State Government (it is the same all over the country, anyway).

But, why did DSIEC not have the courtesy to write or summon him to break the news (assuming, but without conceding, that they have the powers to do so?) Sir, you are not the Chairman of DSIEC and you have no business replacing one candidate with another in an election," the lawyer wrote.

He said it was wrong ‎that Mr. Omadeli's name was substituted without cogent reasons.

Mr. Keyamo said since the administration of James Ibori, a "truce was reached whereby it was agreed that the Ijaws and Itsekiris would be taking their turns in the governance of Warri South-West L.G.A".

He went on to ask the governor why he chose an Ijaw man for the position.

"What then is your rationale for this decision? Whom amongst the stakeholders of these two great and illustrious tribes in Delta State did you call to a meeting before this ill-informed decision? What promise or arrangement did you extract from them before this decision?" Mr. Keyamo asked.

Alleging that the governor sacrificed Mr. Omadeli for his 2015 senatorial ambition, Mr. Keyamo said the governor returned George Ekpemupolo, an Ijaw by tribe, to pacify the Ijaws so they can support him.

"Your Excellency, I hate to say this – but say it, I must: there is a clear picture in the public domain that because you are Itsekiri by tribe and the member representing Warri South-West in the State

House of Assembly is also an Itsekiri man, and because you also plan to go to the Senate by 2015, you had no choice but to sacrifice Mr. Omadeli to the Ijaws so that all three slots would not go to Itsekiri.

"You opted to sacrifice the slot of your Itsekiri tribe to the Ijaws to protect your personal interest. In other words, your Senatorial ambition has a big part to play in this whole mess," Mr. Keyamo stated.

He called on the governor to quickly set up a truly independent Local Government Election Tribunal because he (Mr. Keyamo) will proceed to the tribunal on behalf of Mr. Omadeli.

He ended his letter by advising the governor to "do the needful by summoning all stakeholders to explain to them and to also extract commitments from them as to the way forward in the delicate power play between the Ijaws and Itsekiris before it leads to uncontrollable conflagration".

The Future Awards Africa Holds December, Launches Campaign For 1million Young Africans To Fight Ebola

The Central Working Committee (CWC) of Africa's biggest youth event, The Future Awards Africa (TFAA) has announced the date and host state for the 2014 edition of the event: "We are excited to announce that The Future Awards Africa 2014 will be hosted in Lagos, Nigeria on Sunday, 7 December."

This is the 9th edition of the awards, which became an African prize last year, with a commemorative ceremony hosted by the President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, Dr. Goodluck Jonathan at the Presidential Villa in Aso Rock, Abuja.

"We are thrilled to have the awards return to Lagos where it all started," said Ohimai Atafo, Chair of the CWC and one of Africa's leading fashion entrepreneurs. "TFAA has always been excited to fuse inspiration with the best of pop culture, and this year's event will underline that tradition – an evening of inspiration, of hope, and of a continent renewed."

This year's event is also dedicated to the cause of fighting Ebola in West Africa. On 11.11.2014, TFAA will launch a global campaign to get 1 million young Africans involved in the fight against Ebola via stopebola.com.

In an interview with Yahoo! News last week, CNN's Isha Sesay made clear: "We have to realize that the clock is ticking. We have an Ebola UN emergency fund and there's very little money in it. We have pledges being made, but the pledges aren't being translated into action," Sesay said.

"We are answering to that call to action," said Mfon Ekpo, Vice-Chair of the CWC and West Africa Representative on the Mandela Washington Fellowship Advisory Board. "If Africa will be saved by Africans, then young people need to take the lead on the problems we face and take ownership in the solutions we need."

Ebola cases are doubling every 2o days in the worst affected countries, and the World Health Organisation (WHO) has called it "the largest, most complex and most severe we've ever seen".

TFAA will be deploying its network of winners, nominees, alumni, celebrity, brain trust and continental media partners for this #StopEbola campaign – to get 1 million young Africans to donate social media updates and then for young people to donate a minimum of $25 (4,250naira) each directly to the WHO through the United Nations Ebola Response Fund. It has also selected 50 of Africa's most influential celebrities to headline the campaign.

The Future Awards Africa 2014 is presented in partnership with Microsoft, the Tony Elumelu Foundation and Vitafoam.

Yobe Government Shuts Down All Schools Over Monday Bombings

Yobe State Government has closed down all public and private schools in the state following a bomb blast that occurred at Government Science Secondary School, Potiskum in the state where 48 students lost their lives and 79 students injured.

The commissioner of education in the state announced this morning that the closure was with immediate effect.

Jonathan Officially Declares For Second Term

President Goodluck Jonathan on Tuesday formally declared that he will seek a second term of office at next year's general election while addressing the large crowd that turned out for his declaration today.

"I, Goodluck Ebele Azikiwe Jonathan, have accepted to present myself on the platform of the PDP," he told supporters of his Party at a mass rally held today in Abuja.

Jonathan has been the Head of State since 2010 when he took over following the death of President Umara Yar'Adua, winning elections in 2011.
