U.S. Launches More Airstrikes Against Islamic State Fighters In Iraq

U.S. Launches More Airstrikes Against Islamic State Fighters In Iraq

U.S. Airstrikes Target ISIS Fighters Near 2nd-Largest Dam In Iraq -- CNN

Baghdad, Iraq (CNN) -- The U.S. military launched airstrikes targeting ISIS fighters around a key dam in western Iraq on Sunday, the Pentagon said.

It carried out the airstrikes near Haditha Dam at the request of Iraq, according to Rear Adm. John Kirby, the Pentagon press secretary.

If the terror group seized the dam -- the second-largest in the country -- it would prove catastrophic. It provides water to millions of people in western and southern Iraq.

The U.S. also fears the militants could use the water to flood villages and seize control of the nation's lucrative electricity industry.

"We conducted these strikes to prevent terrorists from further threatening the security of the dam, which remains under control of Iraqi security forces -- with support from Sunni tribes," Kirby said.

Money Issues Contributed To Our Downfall In World Cup-Keshi

Money Issues Contributed To Our Downfall In World Cup-Keshi
Interim Super Eagles manager, Stephen Okechukwu Keshi says the row over bonuses was partly to blame for Nigeria's ouster at the second round of the last FIFA World Cup in Brazil.

Keshi in an interview with CAF's media unit ahead of today's AFCON qualifier added that he only returned to his post for the next two matches (Against Congo today and South Africa on September 10th) due to the high number of calls he was getting from many respectable Nigerians pleading with him to return.

"Initially, I didn't want to do it because I was done with Nigerian football having coached the team for over two and half years but I got a lot of calls from respectable Nigerians who wanted me to continue with the work; and sometimes when people talk to you, you have to ," The former Bendel Insurance player said.

Yvonne Nelson causes major stir at Single and Married event (Photos) The beautiful actress recently wrapped up production on her latest movie.

…and premiered it over the weekend at the Silverbird theater in Accra, Ghana, attracting many fans who were eager to catch a glimpse of the movie.

The movie "Single & Married" was supposed to be the focus of attention for many of the fans who came for the premiere. However attention turned away from the movie to Yvonne Nelson courtesy of the orange cleavage baring outfit she wore for the event.

Whilst most of the male fans who were at the event were cheering her on, most of the female fans especially the older ones felt it wasn't the right outfit for a young African lady to wear.

Weird....read... How to Restore a Broken Hymen

From: <eCruzi>

How to Restore a Broken Hymen

The hymen has long been seen as a sign of purity and innocence. But from a purely physical standpoint, the hymen is simply a small layer of thin skin that partially covers the vaginal opening. The hymen can be found at the mouth of the vagina, not very deep inside. In fact, by spreading your legs very wide and using a small mirror, you might be able to see the hymen. You might also be able to feel it with your fingertip. Understanding what the hymen is and how it works can help clear up any misconceptions about this thin piece of skin.

What Is the Function of Hymen?
The hymen is there to help protect newborns from infections. As a young woman goes through puberty, the openings in the hymen can become larger, thus allowing menstrual flow to escape the vaginal opening. At some point during life the hymen is broken, either through sexual intercourse, vigorous exercise or other activities.

Does Broken Hymen Mean Losing Virginity?
Almost every woman has this mucous membrane early on in their lives, but as they grow older the hymen can be broken or torn in all sorts of ways. Contrary to popular belief, breaking of the hymen can happen by means other than sexual penetration. Unfortunately, many cultures still adhere to the idea that if a woman's hymen is broken, that means she has had sexual intercourse. In some cases, women who are found to have a broken hymen are shunned, tortured or even put to death.

The hymen can be broken by vigorous physical activity, such as horseback riding or intense sports. It can be broken by masturbation, or by inserting a tampon. And sometimes, it can be broken for no apparent reason at all. A broken hymen simply means that the hymen has been broken somehow – it doesn't mean a woman has lost her sexual virginity.

How Can You Tell a Broken Hymen?
If you're curious about whether your hymen is broken, there are a few ways to check.

Take a look. Spread your legs wide and use a small mirror to see the vaginal opening. Do you see a small layer of thin, ring-shaped tissue at the opening? If so, your hymen is intact.
Go by feel. Insert your middle finger gently into your vaginal opening. If you feel resistance, like something pressing back against your fingertip, then your hymen is not broken.
Look for bleeding or pain. The breaking of the hymen usually leads to some minor pain and bleeding. If you notice bleeding and feel sore, then it's possible your hymen has been broken.

How to Restore a Broken Hymen

Sometimes a woman will choose to repair her hymen if it has been broken. This is especially true if she has a religious or cultural reason to have an intact hymen at her first sexual intercourse. The following are typical hymen repairs:

Simple Repair. This repair can be done if there are remnants of the hymen left. However, this is often just a temporary procedure, as the hymen doesn't have the vascular components necessary for true long-term healing of the skin.

Alloplant. This is actually a small implant of a material very much like skin that can be torn easily. This is an option for women who don't have enough of a hymen left for a simple repair, and those who want to have a hymen that can tear during their first sexual encounter.
Hymenoplasty. This is a much more involved surgery that uses dissection of the tissues to form a small ring, just like the hymen, which is then stitched together to partially cover the vaginal opening. This is often what must be done for hymen restoration, or for those who have to undergo hymen surgery due to a microperforate or imperforate hymen.

More Facts about Hymen

Breaking of the hymen can cause pain, discomfort and some bleeding; however, there are many women who have a broken hymen and never felt the break. Bleeding might not be present either; about 44 percent of women don't experience bleeding during their first sexual intercourse with an intact hymen. Some women – about one of every thousand – are born with no hymen at all.

Interestingly, women can go through their lives with their hymens intact. In fact, some women have been known to have intact hymens during pregnancy, which are sometimes broken by a doctor before they give birth. So, the hymen should never be considered a form of birth control.

Sick mum left baby to starve to death while she went out partying for 2 weeks
19 year old Russian woman Alyona Ipatova (pictred left) who left her five-month-old baby to starve to death while she went out partying for two weeks has been sentenced to a minimum of 10 years' hard labour. Alyona, dubbed 'Monster mum' by Russian media admitted in court to leaving her baby alone in her apartment in Russia and went partying for two whole weeks with friends.

Prosecutors said when the teen got back, she found her infant daughter(pictured right) dead. Continue

Alyona pictured above in another pic said in court during sentencing

"I really regret what I did. I did not want that to happen. I realise what I have done," she told the sentencing hearing.

Her lawyer claimed she had asked the child's father to help look after their daughter.

"Yes, she left the child at times. Although she left her, sometimes she came back in the morning or the father was at home, so he could still look after the girl," he claimed.

Her lawyer wanted the court to change the charge from 'murder of a minor with cruelty' to 'causing death by negligence' but the judge rejected the plea and sentenced her to 10 years hard labour.

I Support Sex Before Marriage - Nollywood Actress, Seyi Edun

Upcoming Yoruba actress and producer Seyi Edun is airing her views concerning this sex and marriage issue. Seyi who spoke with Vanguard's Potpourri, believes every couple should eat the pudding before walking down the aisle... Do You agree with her views? In her very own words, Seyi said;

"I think it's an individual thing. Once you are an adult and you think you are ready, go for it. Personally, I think sex before marriage is good. Because it will make you know your partner well before going into marriage.

So if there is anything you are not comfortable with, you have an ample time to correct it before actually going into the lifetime contract of marriage. Doing it before marriage also reduces adultery and fornication. It is also a good way of studying your partner before you get committed to him or her."

I call her bullshit! I think she is just excusing her inability to stay with one man! Yes ..everybody is having sex...but dont go about telling kids everywhere to sleep with every man they meet! thats why one ibo boy told me that yoruba girls are easy!
