lol.... FG May Ban Consumption Of ‘Ponmo’

FG May Ban Consumption Of 'Ponmo'
Federal Government may have concluded plans to ban sale and widespread consumption of hides and skins (ponmo) which is a delicacy to most Nigerians. Lol...wahala....me i love ponmo o.This indication emerged Tuesday when the Minister of Agriculture and Rural Development, Dr. Akinwunmi Adesina called for competent regulations that would check the consumption and sale of the product.

He said this at the 3rd joint anniversary of Animal Science Association of Nigeria (ASAN) and Nigeria Institute of Animal Science held at the University of Ibadan. If this is achieved, he noted that livestock farmers would stand good chances of making high dollar return if the hides and skins are tanned into leather, vanguard reports.

"But you were not caught when you went to pluck the oranges," Garba said to Tanko. "That is because we go there early in the morning," Tanko said. "But what if the Whiteman runs into you since he goes there in the morning?" Sule asked. "He will never catch us. One of us plucks while the other watches out for him," Tanko said. "I will like to have some of those oranges," Sule said. They agreed that they would go to the orange tree early in the morning to pluck oranges. Garba was very happy. He would enjoy orange again. 2face Idibia Shuts Down Project Fame, Unveils Vote, No Fight Campaign

2face Idibia Shuts Down Project Fame, Unveils Vote, No Fight Campaign

Hypertek Digital/960 Music Group Superstar, 2face Idibia, made his first public appearance on Saturday, September 6, exactly two weeks since the untimely death of his father, Michael Idibia.

The music superstar, who was the guest judge at the MTN Project Fame West Africa nomination show over the weekend, watched a total of nine contestants perform some of his most popular songs on stage, seemingly impressed with what he saw the contestants do with his new and olds songs including 'For Instance,' 'Ole,' 'African Queen' and other classics before he went on stage himself to entertain the audience.

A highpoint of the event was when the contestants emulated some of the mannerisms usually attached to 2Face's performances. Before taking the stage to perform songs off his latest album ("The Ascension"), the music maestro, 2Baba, encouraged the contestants while giving them "fatherly" advice.

The show also provided a soft launch for the "VOTE NOT FIGHT": Election no be War campaign as the support vocalists from Adrenalin band rocked t-shirts bearing the boldly inscribed message on them.

"VOTE NOT FIGHT": Election no be War is a voter education project of The 2face Foundation in partnership with NDI, Youngstars Foundation et al towards youth participation towards the peaceful conduct of the 2015 general elections. An official launch date will be announced by the foundation soon.

Ebola Virus: Doctors reject September 22 schools resumption date

The NMA speaking through its National Publicity Secretary, Dr Olawunmi Layaki, said they expect all schools to remain closed until December or early next year when all Ebola suspects under surveillance have been cleared and certified free of the virus.

"We are not happy with this decision on the resumption of schools. Schools should be shut till the last suspected case or patient is certified free of the virus. We can shift the resumption date till next year or in the next three months if that is the time it will take.

Ray Rice -- DROPPED FROM 'MADDEN 15'

breaking news

0909-ea-sports-ray-rice

EA Sports has a message for Ray Rice -- you're no longer "in the game" ... 'cause he's been DROPPED from "Madden '15" in the wake of the brutal new elevator video.

The video game company just issued a statement saying, "With Ray Rice's indefinite suspension from the NFL, he will be removed from Madden NFL 15."

"The roster change will take place by this Friday."

Ray was cut by the Ravens yesterday ... and the NFL has suspended him from the league indefinitely.

Game over.
